Daughter of the Universe

There are galaxies hidden beneath her skin,

Quietly reveling themselves as the freckles along her nose

And the soft crescent of her smile.

While in her depths

The flames of Earth’s core ignite her soul,

Transferring warmth to everything she holds dear.

She is a daughter of the universe.

As deep as the ground where her feet are planted

And as unexplainable as the skies beyond.
